Welcome to the Paymentgate API integration tutorial. In this comprehensive guide, we'll walk you through everything you need to know to start accepting payments in your application.

Paymentgate is a powerful payment processing platform that supports over 200 payment methods globally. We'll be using our REST API to demonstrate the integration process.

Before we dive into the code, make sure you have a Paymentgate account. If you haven't signed up yet, head over to paymentgate.com and create your free account.

Now that we have our account set up, let's navigate to the dashboard and generate our API keys. Go to Developers → API Keys, and click on Create New Key.

You'll see two types of keys: publishable key and secret key. The publishable key is safe to use in your frontend code, while the secret key should only be used on your server.

Let's start with a basic payment integration. We'll use the Payment Intents API, which is the recommended approach for new integrations.
